I do think that your bird is a he. Look at those looooong legs! He stands more up right too! Beautiful bird!
Wow, looked like a little rooster from the light chick coloring but now at 5 weeks could go either way. Looks more like cockerel coloring with the black splotches instead of a nice even pattern, but you won't know until the red in the wings comes in (or doesn't).Thank you! Could I get help sexing my other EE's? All six of them were sexed pullets, and one has already been proven out as a rooster.![]()
I think I have a good idea which ones are hens, but there are two that I'm not sure on... I posted a pic of one of them earlier, here's the other one who looks very similar. They're all about five weeks old.
Here she is now.
And of course here is her adorable baby picture.
Thanks!![]()

Hm, the chick down points to cockerel, and he is starting to get splotchy. Is that a light red on his wings? Would love a comb shot and an update in a few weeks.
I see no three row comb. And look at those scrawny girl's legs, not big MANLY legsI have a 5 1/2 week old EEer that I'd like advice on
She was solid white as a baby chick, and has some rust coming in. It's very similar to my other EE here who is definitely a hen:
EXCEPT. This chick has the rust coming in mostly on it's head/neck where my EE hen has it on her body and not neck. And it as these weird individual dark grey/black feathers coming in on it's head and under one wing, which is different from my EE hen...
Here s/he is, Thoughts?
These cheeks are awesome, aren't they?![]()
