Both look like pullets right now. #1 is for sure.
Quote: Okay, thank you. I started worrying because you can see the three rows on the orange one's comb...
I'm going to say pullets. The top for sure and while the bottom has the 3 row peas the coloring doesn't strike me as Roo. Also by 5 weeks my EE Roo already had a pretty pink comb. But I'm not as experienced as most on here so that's just my guess.
Quote: Thanks. I was thinking the same, but I wasn't sure.
Hello! I do have a question regarding EEs! Do they all have that funky feathers around their face? I only had 2 with this and one passed away 2 days ago.but I'm supposed to have several of them and can no longer tell if they r EEs or something else. Ill have to post some pics tomorrow cause all my babies are sleeping and I should be too. Lazy all day up all night!![]()
With all the great tips and information coming from here- I was wondering if anyone could lend some advice. I have 6 EE's about 13 weeks old. Two of them I question if they are roos or hens. Haven't heard any crowing attempts yet, but.....
The first 2 pictures are the one I am most skeptical about- starting to get red in the wings, and different tail feathers. The 3rd pic is one that just looks different than the others, and makes me wonder....
Somewhat new to "chicken farming" so any input is appreciated!
