When people look at the feathering for sexing EEs, I've always thought they were looking at chicks around 4 weeks, where the males have smaller or no tails and much more chick fuzz on their heads compared to females.   I'm curious to see if your feather method works.  Hope you can post when they are older.


So I'll say now I have a for sure on the one cockerel I marked, he was slow feathering at the start, he now has the flashy patches that are described in the first post. I'm not sure the elastic a stayed on the other 3 I marked, they were clear, and they are already darn hard to catch. But I will look close next week to see if there are any more marked, none of the others are so clearly males yet , they are 3 weeks 4 days.
