I think I'll try and post some pictures today, we moved the chicks into the mudroom, because it is supposed to T-Storm all day, and stuff... and we don't have a super sturdy coop, just a temp. one. So I can probably take pictures today.

It supposed to storm all day where I'm at as well here in Missouri... Where are u located at?

Virgina, we moved them into the mudroom with 3 plastic totes connected with tunnels, with lids over them, a window, and in one lid a hole, with an old window screen over it so the heat can get in but the can't.. She is scared of them anyways.. But just in case. She sleeps on the shelf above them on a towel with her food, and the door cracked so she can get out.. I know you didn't ask about my setup,... But I get kinda excited about new rearrangements..

Hehe. Silver laced wyandotte. The tubs are often mixed and as someone else said tsc doesn't get amereucana at all. Only ee. But I know someone else who thought they had an ee and it was definitely a slw.

The thing about getting chicks at a farm supply,,,(unless you order a specific thing).............its like Forrest Gump said...."its like a box of chocolates...you never know what you are going to get"...Which to me (a backyard pet/egg raiser) can be kind of fun as long as you understand,,,,you are probably not getting true Ameracaunas. You have to hunt those down thru certain hatcheries or those who specialize in them.

Afaik you can only get a real ameraucana at Meyer and there's aren't actually all that great.
