Easter Egger Sexing "tips and tricks" *Pictures Included*

Looks very girly to me.
I have a pullet nearly this exact color. Can't wait to see what the final colors are

That's very true.
Boy, wouldn't it be nice to have a friend who could sex chicks for you?  Especially 98% accuracy.
The chicken guy at our feed store says they get more returned cockerels on the sexed EEs than any other breed.  I was thinking that perhaps hatchery EEs are harder to sex because of greater variation and inconsistent breeding.

I wish he lived here! I'd be bugging him to teach me.

I have been told Lillith is a Lyle! I am in the process of re homing as I cannot have Roos. Do you all believe that is correct. 6 weeks old.
Yeah...looks like a little roo

Alright I am all worried because I am reading black and white EE means roo usually buttttt when I got this little one it was chipmunk colored but instead of tan it had a really light cream color. Now she(hopefully) is half white, half dark brown/black with brown molting on head. What do you guys think?? This is at 5 weeks

I have 2 b/w EE pullets :)
That one looks like my Little Hawk did

She's in front

Right?! I'd love to learn

I think these two are turning into boys on me. Hatched March 13 I think?

their combs are small, and pretty pale, but their uh...shoulder/neck feathers are looking mighty splotchy compared to this young pullet, their sister (dark blue).

she has a tiny little comb.

the light blue one has a paler, but larger comb than the black one.

The two in question also have the beginnings of what appear to be very small second and third rows coming in on the pea comb.
Is it really possible that they don't make themselves more evident by this time? I thought they were pullets.

I'm back to see what you all think of my chicks now :) They are 9.5 weeks now. Sorry pics aren't the best.

Last time I posted we all agreed Willy Nilly is a roo. He is developing right along like a roo, he is the black and white one in the photos.

This is Claudia, last time I shared we were undecided about her. I'm still confused about her, but leaning more towards pullet?

This is Gertrude. I still think she is a pullet. Am I right? Will she lay brown eggs because she doesn't have the pea comb?

This is Julia. This is the best close up I could get of her comb and face. Sorry. She is quite shy of the camera. I'm still thinking pullet for her?

I have an EE/OE who is a little over 2 wks old. I was thinking Pullet but I want to know what you think. She feathered out fast and I tried to sex her by her wings when she was 2 days old but I read somewhere it doesn't always work on EE's. Here's CoCo
