Easter Egger Sexing "tips and tricks" *Pictures Included*

Given what I have just read about sexing EEs, I have these photos for you to consider. I bought 10 chicks, all supposedly pullets, born on March 26. 7 are EEs, although sold as Araucanas, and 3 Buff Orps. The B&W one in the 2nd photo was about half the size of all the others when they were about 2 months old, but now that she has caught up in size, she looks to me to be female. The EE in the last 2 photos however, has more of the body shape discussed here and might be a cockerel? Curious to know what you think...

(pictures uploaded backwards...)

First photo of the Buff Orp—she must be a he—she looks nothing like the other 2 who are exactly the same age. They don't even have combs yet.

The black and white one looks like a she to me. The buff orpington is a boy, i can see saddle feathers.

I agree on the Buff being a cockerel. Mine are the same age. The combs/wattles are just now starting to develop and nowhere near as big.

The black and white is beautiful...

I think you may have to wait a bit longer but I think you have two pullets. The red on the wing of the bottom one is suspicious though.

We all have our opinion and guesses. Some will be right and some wrong. And we all learn from our right AND wrong guesses. To me, this is a friendly guessing games and I really enjoy using my experience to help those who are not yet as experienced (but will soon).

Here are four of my Easter Eggers at 3 weeks old, any sexing guesses? Chick #3 is a lot leggier and much more independent than the others, and chick #4 has always been more round faced and bodied.
Chick #1

Chick #2

Chick #3

Chick #4
These are a little young to be sure. They need more time to feather out. Please post back in a few weeks. For now, #2 looks to be pullet, and #4 maybe pullet, #1 can go either way, and #3 looks to be cockerel. But like I said, it's a bit early to be sure.

Your black & white EE might be a boy. I have noticed that my EE chicks that develop a solid black collar behind the neck end up as roos. The ones with a more penciled collar turned out pullets.
My rooster age 4-5 weeks (Notice the black collar, thick legs, & red spots could be seen even before he got all his feathers.) The second pic is the same boy (older) trying to show his girls how to lay an egg.
I haven't noticed that characteristic before, but you might be right. I'm going to keep an eye out for that from now on. I might go back look for some roo pics

i have three easter eggers over here, who need your tips & tricks applied to them!
or - here they are now:

robin:

blue:

and olive(r)

many thanks for any thoughts you have on their sexes!

OK. My bets are the first two are pullets, the last one is cockerel. If I am right, do I get the first egg?

You are right. The first b/w one is a girl, and the second one is a boy. From what I can see, his saddle feathers are already growing out.
