Given heritage of EEs frequently includes Aracauna, it's not so far-fetched that one could lack a tailOur 1st easter egger had a tail like that. Did some research, and found out it is called a tailless easter egger. Our poor Duckie was truly a mutt. Layed green eggs, was tailless, and had no earmuffs. But she was a sweet heart nonetheless. I still hate the neighbors dog that murdered her.

She has a tail, it just curves down and around her bottom. Sometimes it will stick out a little bit but nowhere near what any of my other birds look like. I have another one who looks like she doesn't really have a tail but this ones is actually really long. I tried to find any pictures online like it but couldn't find anything. The only thing I can think of is maybe the sickle feathers and she is actually a cockerel???? Any thoughts?
I think if a cockerel is growing sickles, he would already have a fat red comb. Yours looks more like a pullet to me. It may end up losing those curved feathers as it grows. Kind of neat looking. Keep us posted.![]()
