Easter Egger Sexing "tips and tricks" *Pictures Included*

I thought I knew who this chick came from but is that a rose comb or a pea comb? The only hen I have with a rose comb is a Gold Laced Wyandotte which would have been crossed with an EE roo. I thought it was a Lavender Ameraucana and Blue Copper Marans cross. Any ideas?

Not sure about the comb type, but it does look like a boy. Pretty!

Thanks for your opinions. I'm going to hang on to them a little longer and see how they turn out. Crossing Ameraucanas and Marans, am I going to get some that have half and half combs? I haven't run across that yet. Does anyone have any pics of that?

I dont know about that cross specifically but I have an EE with a modified pea comb, probably a cross between a single and a pea. You may end up with something like this or close.

unfortunately I discovered orangish shoulder patches coming in on my blue/gold EE today. 6 weeks. Comb is still very flat and yellow. Could it just be her coloring or is this almost certainly the sign of a cockeral? Her pattern has been so girly up until now!?!?!

UPDATE: Here are some photos from today. She is now 7 weeks. Is she still looking girly?

Don't fret yet. I have a pullet exactly these colors and she is definetly a pullet. I think because the orangy color is so dispersed, it is a girly pattern. I will try to post a photo of my little Amy. Although, my Amy is serverly crossed beaked, she is very sweet.
