Easter Egger Sexing "tips and tricks" *Pictures Included*

Ginger's looking awfully roo-ish to me. That wide red comb, those splotchy red patches on his shoulders--I'd give it at least 90% probability you have a cockerel there.

pretty sure this one is a cockerel, but could be wrong on this interesting feathering, at first first glance I thought pullet till I looked at all the pictures then got the sense it was a male.......

So I'm suddenly worried about my white EEs gender. She is ten weeks and up until a couple days ago I thought she was 100% pullet. I'd love some feedback on my newest pics of her. I'm concerned that she is looking like a roo.

Also, here's today's picture of my mystery gender unnamed EE. S/he is starting to get the rest of the wing feathers but no red. Also the comb is reddish but not nearly as big as my EE roo Carson who is also ten weeks. Can I still hope for pullet on this one?

the white looks like a pullet , the bottom picture is a cockerel

Ok I'm officially worried that one of my 'girls' may end up a roo...well not really worried I guess. I was thinking about getting a EE Roo later but if I have 1 now so be it. lol Here are the 'girls'

Fairly certain this girl is in fact a girl .lol

Love the poofy cheeks!

Also certain this is a girl.

And now the cause of my worries. Firstly (S)he is black and white which from what I read is predominatly a male trait.

Secondly (s)he has 3 rows on her comb

And it's fairly red compared to her 'sisters'

Any guesses to confirm or belay my worry? I'm not certain of the exact age but I believe they are around 7 weeks give or take a few days. Regardless I love them. So easy going (once caught) and beautiful. Thank you SilkieSensation for these wonderful birds!

Yep, that comb in the last photo gives it away... that chicken is a cockerel. He should be very pretty, though, and have what I call "calico" coloration--hopefully deep red hackle and saddles off of him.

All right folks, we are now at 3 weeks and a couple days, this EE is now bumping chests and "dancing" with 2 other chicks. Only one is not participating and I know its a pullet since it is a Cuckoo Marans.

Still too early to tell?

Here are some better shots of the chicks in question. I know the mostly white ones are roos. I'm questioning the black and white ones. also the rumpless one. Thinkin roo...you tell me. Ill try to get the pics and labels. These are the two stumpin me... Roo in front, two hens, and the questionable ones... Rumpless one on right. Rumpless in back, roo on right, hens are the dark ones... I need to know the sexes before decided which three to keep. Also, the lil orange and gray hen has yellower feet...but she's one I was thinkin bout keepin. Will she give me the green/blue eggs? Or should I keep one with green legs??

This is my first post since I've joined. Hello!!! I need a little help as well! my mother is a teacher and as a senior prank at her school some moron children let loose 50 little chicks at her school! Thank goodness she told me they were all accounted for and many went home with fellow teachers and parents. She was one of the teachers who gathered the little chicks and had over 30 in a box in her classroom. She saved two for me and I am certain one is an EE and the other i have no clue. They are developing differently. I currently have Polish and Australorps ( these 2 little cuties are foreign to me) and was wondering if someone could help me out determining the sex of either one. Heck, maybe even a suggestion on what the little buff colored bird may be? Thank you so much!
BTW: the guilty seniors were expelled for animal cruelty

I am assuming they were 2-3 weeks when they arrived home, so that would make them between 2-3 months now.
