Easter Egger Sexing "tips and tricks" *Pictures Included*

I am at a loss! I have thought rooster on this 'guy' since about 12 weeks because 'he' started getting red before the other chicks I have. Now they are 20 weeks old, the only surviving 'sibling' to this chick is definitely female but this one I am still confused. Sometimes it looks like a pullet to me and still no crowing at 20 weeks! (no eggs from either chick) I am not sure what breed(s) exactly but 'he' does have a beard so easter egger fits (the 3 I got this spring were all supposed to be easter eggers but this is the only one with a beard).

I was fooled by an AustraWhite. It got a bigger and redder comb at about 3 months (I didn't write down exact date I made this realization) than the other AustraWhite. I kept waiting for the crowing. At about 5 months, when the same age pullets started laying, I butchered an older rooster and thought the AW would start now that he was the head honcho. It took another month for me to figure out that he was really a she, because I saw him/her in the nest box. I came to the conclusion that because this breed is a cross between and Australorp and and Leghorn, one pullet got more Leghorn tendencies with the comb and waddles than the other pullet.

If we end up keeping him, and he becomes a daddy to my cuckoo maran/rir mix hen in this photo, will those chicks still be EE's? and what about if he fathers chicks to my marans? what will they be considered?

I have several EEs that are about 24 weeks old....I know two of them are roos...but I am unsure about this one. S/He looks kinda rooish to me, but there is no green in the tail feathers, the tail feathers aren't curving, no long silky saddle feathers and the hackle feathers are short and dont look like those of my other two roos...S/he was really hard to get a pic of and these two were the best I could do....any ideas? Hasn't crowed or laid an egg.

No Saddle or Hackle feather that I can see
Comb seems awfully small and not very red
Legs don't seem very thick

I vote Pullet

But as I'm not very experienced I would wait for anothers opinion.

I agree, pullet.
First glance makes you think roo because of overall shape. At 24 weeks, saddle feathers would be in, so I think she's a pullet. Sometimes they are slow developing boys in the comb department, but looks like a pullet comb as well. Probably going to have to wait a bit longer for eggs from this one.

agreed, pullet. She's really neat looking as well! You'll know really soon when you find an egg. 24 weeks is egg laying age for an EE!

It's had spurs since hatching (larger than its 7hatchmates who are all boys! And sharp to the touch) although they haven't grown much more. Its comb is odd, very dark
