please help is this a roo????
since im much better with older birds, id say based on the coloring (the red hues) and the comb (looks like a 3 row and looks like its getting red), i would say without a doubt, its a roo.

it also helps that i had one that looked identical (called Red for his coloring) that was a roo. ill see if i can find a photo
ah here we go! meet Red, though he is no longer with us...

Agreed, he's a Roo. Ours was similar in color, too. Red comb at 6 weeks but started crowing at 5 weeks.
We just found him a new home where he can have some older hens to teach him chicken-manners.

I have three EE about 6 woks old. I am almost certain one is a roo and I think another is a pullet. I am unsure about the third one but am leaning toward roo. What do you think?

#1 Roo

I couldn't get pics of the pullet. She is a bad chicken and is in chicken jail for pulling out the feathers and pecking the other chicks drawing blood. If I can't reform her I will have to get rid of her which makes me sad as she is possibly my only EE hen. :(

#1 is a cockerel and I think #2 is also, but it would be nice to see a full side view to help confirm. Compare the combs to the one you suspect is a pullet. Her comb should look significantly smaller.
