Easter Egger Sexing "tips and tricks" *Pictures Included*

Here are some updated pictures of my 5 EEs. They are 6 weeks old now, I am pretty sure the first is a boy and I think the rest are girls but I am new to this and would appreciate any guesses or comments.

#1 Bull (Very stalky legs and body, pointed and rounded down tail feathers)

#2 Wildling (Rounded and pointed tail feathers, smallest of all EEs)

#3 Cateyes (Round tail feathers, Very friendly. PS- She is standing up listening to the neighbors music, lol)

#4 Legs (Has always had long legs but starting to grow into them, mostly round tail feathers, very independent)

#5 Ginger (Round tail feathers, very quiet personality)

Again, I am a new chicken mama and still trying to learn what I can and try to tell the boys from the girls so any help is welcome.

I agree that #1 is a boy & the others are likely pullets. #4 looks a bit different (seems very large-bodied & solid), so I'd keep an eye out for male traits that may or may not develop. At this time I do not see anything that would confirm a male in that one.

This is my youngest EE, she is around 3 weeks old. I got her from the feed store (of corse labeled as an Amerucana) as a Pullet. I whistle to all my chicks and this one started to whistle back, my DH swears it sounds like a crow! Yikes!!! What do you think?

A side shot would be preferable. This still may be too young to guess.

Thank you for the additional shots. She is pretty and I hope she stays a she! I think it is too early to tell. Come back in a couple weeks with more photos! That comb is stumping me at the moment.

I will take more in a few weeks, Thanks

I'm going to guess cockerel. That's a bit of comb for 3 week pullet and legs look big!
However it IS pretty early to be very certain, Our last batch of EE's we hatched I was certain 2 were cockerels especially when their big wide combs got red at 18 weeks...3 days later we got 2 green eggs!! LOL
Scandalous birds!!

WHy wait a few more weeks? Post pictures every week so we can see how she/ he changes !! :)
