Easter Egger Sexing "tips and tricks" *Pictures Included*

Nickypicky- This is an interesting one. Coloring doesn't have me thinking roo, comb either...I know that the last thing you want to hear is this, but it's true...You should know in the next 1-2 weeks. For now the saddle feathers are rounded, but I do notice that it's molting there and I bet the next couple days will have new feathers to show for it. Good luck! Definitely keep us posted. BTW the group shot, far right - STUNNING coloring. the other dark one is nice too but i seriously love the lacing on the first one. *drool*

Thanks. I need to get some pictures in better light. Considering that those two (1 & 3 in the group shot) are so similar in coloring, it's the reddish patches that are showing up on this one that has me thinking. Then again, the one I knew from the beginning that was a boy looks very obvious about it already.

EE fans, what do you think, boy or girl? "She" is always "on guard" always the first to come running. Very nice bird, climbs right into my hand. She's a little over 2 weeks old.

Ok, so this was a guess for pullet before but just checking back, we are at 7 weeks. she is just huge

and the other is my mostly pullet opinion but has been getting more and more red....

I had pretty much figured Willow for a pullet but the older Willow gets the more I wander her/his comb isn't very red but the feather pattern keeps getting more splotchy. here Willow is at 6 weeks today.

Ok, here are some better pics. I'm still about 90% sure she's a pullet, but that reddish tinge showing up on her back has got me doubting myself. The other chick with the same pattern does not have the red feathers. [/quote . I agree with pullet. I have an 8 week old cockerel that matches. If it weren't dark I could get a picture of him... Maybe I have one.

It isn't a great one but you can see his comb a bit.
