Easter Egger Sexing "tips and tricks" *Pictures Included*

I think they are both roosters and that Chiquita is just a little slower maturing. You took some AWESOME comb shots and that is why I think that Chiquita is a cockerel. IF it would have been just the two of them together, I would have said you have a pair. THINK is the key word though on Chiquita. (Pretty sure) When my EEs were questionable I was still holding out for hope. Thanks for the updated photos! I would love to see Chiquita in a few weeks!

I'm leaning toward pullet for now. Update us in a few weeks and let us know if you ended up with two cockerels after all.

LOL, the vote is split then! I so hope Chiquita is a pullet; really don't want any roosters, just layers. Abba is much more aggressive than any of my other five chicks.

What do you think about Essie Rae here? This was last week, so nine weeks old.

Comb looks kinda 3 row but not developed so hopefully pullet. One of my 7 week old EEs will probably look something like Essie. Her head is turning black and she has wide barring on her feathers though she is orange fronted. The gold and black one has much narrow barring and the "apricot" color in the one that was originally white is slowly bleeding back toward her tail. They and the 2 White Rocks and 2 (supposed to be but have Jersey Giant yellow feet) Black Australorps are having a fine time being mothered by a BA and a Faverolles. Yesterday the hens introduced the chicks to the lilac hedge along the road. Wouldn't even know they were in there except for the flurry of last years dry leaves spraying out.

Pictures of my 3 EEs, 7 weeks old today. More for "display" than gender checking since I could not get a good comb shot without a lot of luck anyway.

Athena (left) and Eos (it means "dawn")

and Penelope (with a White rock whose name is either Yuki or Angel)

These are the best pictures I'm going to get, they don't stay still and are frequently foraging as seen here:

You have some pretty birds! All look to be pullets to me. I'm hoping to get a pullet the color of Eos next year. I love that pale yellowish tan on the white back round.

I'm posting because when I posted these three unsure of sex you guys wanted an update when I could tell what they were.....all three cockerels!!! They were also sold to me as aracaunas and I still have no idea what they actually are.....
