She turned out to be a pullet! I'm so happy I can keep her *0* I can't keep mutt boys. Only purebreds.

The plus side is that the flock has rejected both of them when I tried to reintroduce, even though they could see each other the entire time. :/ so I can keep them together. Luna has started laying eggs again. Boy did I miss her sky blue eggs. Bluer than my amers.

Darn, I have carpool duty this afternoon. You can do it. Be picky about those combs! Hopefully someone will be here.

Oh, and behavior wise, a young cockerel with dominant tendencies will often come toward a strange hand reaching in the cage. Cockerels tend to stand in front, while pullets shelter in the background. Again, not 100%, but don't mistake what might be cockerel behavior for a "friendly" pullet.

I can't see the comb well enough to be sure, but it does look kind of large. A straight on shot might help. A little young to be sure.

Nothing shouting rooster yet. That comb is a little pink though. It is still much to early to tell gender for sure though. Can you post a pictures in another few weeks?

I'm pretty sure #2 #3 #5 and possibly #7 are roos but I like hearing other peoples opinions.
