Easter Egger Sexing "tips and tricks" *Pictures Included*

Hey guys!
I unfortunately don't have very much time to read through this thread right now but I am about to go pick up several Easter Eggers in about an hour. How would I sex day-old chicks? I only want one or two males so any information ASAP would be great!
Thanks!

There is no reliable way to sex day old EEs, other than vent sexing. I have been reading on this thread for several years, and here are a few tips. I would pick chicks with relatively slender legs/feet. Do not pick upright standing chicks with sturdy/thick legs. I would not pick the "friendly" or bold chicks that are not leery of your hand. Females tend to huddle in the back of the group and males sometimes come forward. I would stay away from yellow headed chicks with dark/heavy eyeliner (pretty tends to mean male), and look for pea combs (better chance for blue/green eggs if you get pullets).

Take some time to watch how they act on their own and then see how they react to your hand. None of this is a guarantee, but I just raised 6 Serama chicks, and 2 males were obvious right away. One was always in front of the group and moved toward my hand when I reached in. The second would come up to my hand and want to be touched or held. The 2 females tended to stay toward the back of the group, were not afraid, but did not move toward me. 2 other males took longer to tell- one was friendly but not bold, and the 4th cockerel was, and still is, very flighty, and tends to stay away from the group.

Good luck!!

These should all be pullets! 2 EE, one of the Golden laced Wyandottes; 8 weeks old right now...what do you think?

From what I've been told these guys are EE's. What do you guys/gals think? Thoughts on sex?

Thats a nice group of pullets you have there!

@ambe0487 , The first one is definitely an EE, and I think the second one is at least part EE (or it may just be a mixed breed). I'm not sure about the last one, it may very well be an EE, I'm just not sure what it is crossed with, that little crest and black skin is throwing me off. Maybe it has a little silkie blood in it. How old are they? As of now, all 3 look like pullets.

Yeah the black one is really confusing me as well! They are almost 8 weeks.
