Easter Egger Sexing "tips and tricks" *Pictures Included*

Question: If I have a barred rock roo and an ameraucana hen...could I get barred pullets? I was told the reverse would result in barred males. I am trying to figure out how to get barred pullets, if possible. Thanks

I crossed our Dominique rooster (black/white barred) over our Ameraucana hen, and all of the offspring are barred. Here's a picture. They have the body shape of the Ameraucana (and puffy cheeks), but the barred coloring from the rooster.

My EE babies are 8 weeks now, so I'm back again. Sesame is a very obvious cockerel, with a fire engine red comb and bright rooster red feathers popping up everywhere. He's kind of a jerk, so no big loss there ;-)

First up I have a question about Wilford. His coloring leans towards cockerel with some red showing up, but the comb is the least developed of all four EEs. Here are the best pictures we were able to take last night.

Next is Owl. Pale comb, only black and white feathering.

We have 10 spring chicks in total and judging by our backyard, they are starting their next molt, so I will post new pictures when they have their final feathering. Any opinions on Wilford and Owl in their current state are greatly appreciated. Thank you!
They both look like pullets to me.

Hey there. Update at 8 weeks. I think she/he(?) is third in the pecking order of 4. :) all same age.

This is Tikka? I'm still torn. Pattern in the pic looks pullet, but do you have a side view (like in your avatar)? I want to see what happened with the patchiness on the wings. The comb is very pink for a pullet too. Still could be a late cockerel, but I'm just not sure. Need a side view.

Yes this is my Tikka. Here are some more pictures. I am happy to keep uploading.

This one is confusing me. The red comb and patchy coloring is usually enough to call cockerel (and I'm leaning that way) but for some reason it still looks like a pullet. Is this a friendly bird and your favorite? If so, probably a cockerel...

Update pics next week? I have to see how this comes out.

Ok guys I know it's early but I thought I would see what you think... Only reason I'm concerned is I feel like I can see 3 rows in her comb and isn't that supposed to mean roo? Approx 4 weeks in these photos. She doesn't act roo-ish she's very flighty and skiddish and mothers the smaller chicks so I'm hopeful
