Easter Egger Sexing "tips and tricks" *Pictures Included*

Pretty sure this is a male. I only question it because there has been no crowing. 16 weeks in age and mixed but I've been told looks like an EE. Thoughts anyone?

Definitely a cockerel. Maybe a Wyandotte (comb) or Marans (feathered legs)cross? No muffs/beard, wattles, yellow feathered legs, rose comb- none of those are typical EE traits.

I'll ask about this one too. 16 weeks of mixed origin. The smallest of the 3 I brought home. Again no crowing and no real tail feathers to speak of. Thought for sure this was a pullet but was told otherwise recently.

Last one. 16 weeks, mixed. Had long straight tail feathers at 8 weeks when I brought her home but those all fell out. Now she's getting those slightly darker feathers like a necklace. The comb makes me think pullet.

By 16 weeks they should have male saddle feathers showing. The second one does not, so pullet. I'm thinking the cuckoo bird is also a pullet, but cannot the saddle area clearly. Do you have a better pick?

This one if from a week or so earlier outside. Not sure if this one is better or not.

The comb is redder than I thought. The place I am trying to see is the side of the chicken near the base of the tail. A male will have long, narrow, pointed saddle feathers. A pullet will have shorter, blunt, rounded feathers that look like the rest of the body feathers. I can't see the area here, those funky wing feathers are in the way.

The thin orange feathers hanging down past the tail are male saddle feathers. See if your bird has barred ones.

i think the lighter colored one is a cockerel the other one is a pullet andd by the way they are bueatiful :love
I have been wondering that given the rust colored patches coming through for as much as i paid to have them they should both be pullets .
