Definitely a cockerel. Maybe a Wyandotte (comb) or Marans (feathered legs)cross? No muffs/beard, wattles, yellow feathered legs, rose comb- none of those are typical EE traits.

By 16 weeks they should have male saddle feathers showing. The second one does not, so pullet. I'm thinking the cuckoo bird is also a pullet, but cannot the saddle area clearly. Do you have a better pick?
I think both are pullets. Very pretty.
The comb is redder than I thought. The place I am trying to see is the side of the chicken near the base of the tail. A male will have long, narrow, pointed saddle feathers. A pullet will have shorter, blunt, rounded feathers that look like the rest of the body feathers. I can't see the area here, those funky wing feathers are in the way.
Thank you i sure hope so esp given what i paid to have them sexed .I think both are pullets. Very pretty.
I have been wondering that given the rust colored patches coming through for as much as i paid to have them they should both be pullets .i think the lighter colored one is a cockerel the other one is a pullet andd by the way they are bueatiful![]()
