Easter Egger Sexing "tips and tricks" *Pictures Included*

Hey there! No idea what I'm doing, but after combing this thread... I am pretty sure I have a Roo.... or two! Hopefully not. I have a scissor beaker (spare me the sad stories, puh-lease!) and we adore her, so I'm basically injecting food into her. She's going to do great! Anyway... here are my Eastery Kids hatched around July 3rd...

Don't mind his head boo boo, hawk attacked & skinned his head... Didn't get any birds, just decapitated one. Awful. Coop builder replaced chicken wire with hardware cloth on my coop & is no longer using chicken wire.

He is right up on her in this pic.

Yeah, I know, I just called them he & she. That's not important. What matters is what YOU think... what do you think!?

I'm pretty sure you are correct. The one with the boo boo is a he and the other one is a she. His legs are way thicker, he has some reddish spots coming in on his wings, and his comb is a lot redder and has three rows of bumps. Plus the way he stands just looks rooish to me.

Thanks you guys! What's my little pullet going to do when I have to get rid of her companion? They are totally best buds... two peas in a pod! Makes me super sad, but there's no way I can keep him. Or can I? Is it like dogs, can they just remove the voice box? OUCH!

Hello all,
I saw this thread and thought I would post since I am still having trouble figuring out who is what!

How old are they? My guess would be girl right now but that depends on age and how the feathers develop later

I think they are about 8 - 10 weeks old.
