Easter Egger Sexing

I got two definte female EE's and they had a very bold stripe on their eye, ive heard the cockrels dont have this. But im just going off of what ive seen

All of the TSC pullets I bought have a stripe on their eye so maybe there's some truth to this. I've got 11 straight run, 5 almost solid black I kinda feel are all roosters and 6 blondes with the eye stripe I feel like are pullets. I'll update when I know for sure. Maybe theres some truth to this.

Hey, any udpates on your EEs? I have two 2-week olds from our local feed store and one looks and sounds like your "Marigold" -- I am so worried she is a he! I know it's too soon to tell, but am anxious all the same...

Thank you! I had an incident that forced me to have to bathe my chicks and I got a pic of her with her wings around two other chicks to keep them warm. Her personality just made me fall in love so she got extra cuddles. Lol.
I do not suggest giving chicks a bath, there body temp has to be pretty high for them to stay warm, and if you give them a bath it drops really low. I do suggest next time you need to give a chick or more a bath is to wet a towel with warm water and lightly clean them.

That wasn't possible, their wings were completely stuck together. I did however provide a heat lamp and used a blow dryer. They actually really loved it.

Pretty positive Marigold is a pullet.
Oddly enough it looks like all 11 of the straight runs I bought are pullets. They're maybe 9 weeks now and they all look like miniature hens. Lol. They're even broody. Its hilarious

Oh ok, I thought it was something like they just had something on them like shavings or food

No, I made the mistake of putting my ducklings in with them one night and the water was knocked over and doo doo everywhere. It was HORRIBLE.
