Hi,

I've got a three week old easter egger I'm hoping is a pullet. So far all feather patterns have suggested it. Tail feathers grew in quickly and the wings have the two step pattern and reach the end of the body. I also recently saw something that says there's certain EE color patterns that are hen only and wondering if that's true. Wondering how confident I can be this chick is a pullet, or if I just need to be more patient.

I have the same pair. She was supposed to have four but only one made it.

the second pic I assume is female
the third pic I assume male
but I won’t know for sure yet.

That’s what I saw.
Maybe it’s a homemade EE?
Just looks like a GLW mix to me.

By the time you mix a GLW with a feather legged breed (Marans?)...and then a blue egg layer on top - I know EE are mutts, but that chick resembles GLW enough that I don't believe it to have many other breeds in there.

If I intended to breed EE I wouldn't use GLW.

I like rose combed breeds....I WOULD!
