Hi, i'm Jenna from Cika Lee Hollow, i guess i have ees too, since they have different coloring. Is there still a way to show, wether its 4h or a mixed bred chicken show? I always thought ameraucanas could be any color, but i learned different.

Adding to this Eater Eggers thread - just one week ago I was asking BYC if this young man was hen or roo. Now, 7 days later, he is ALL cockerel, punishing the girls if they socialize with us, grabbing necks, starting fights. He's 7 weeks old, and up on Craigslist to find new home. No grumpy roos welcome here (I know it's not his fault). That is my sweet EE hen next to him.

I've never had an EE lay a "pink" egg so maybe it is rare with them but I had some really great pink eggs from Jersey Giants, Delawares and some mixes thereof.

Thanks there is a chicken book somewhere that says it is pink but it is actually a real light brown
'Pink'... like 'olive' ....is highly subjective.
Many birds lay an egg with a bloom that can appear pinkish - purplish.....usually over a lighter brown coating.
