Easter egger vs olive egger??

I purchased 3 easter egger chicks from cackle that are now about 12 weeks, hatched out May 28th. At about the same time i picked up a couple of olive eggers from Fleet Farm (i know they get theirs from cackle too). I had bands on them to mark who was whom but they out grew those and the bigger bands i had were way too big and all fell off. I was able to keep up with who was what when they were little as they were different enough but now that they are changing into adult colors and their big girl feathers are growing in, i can’t tell which is which.
Is there a way to tell the difference between EE and OE? If so i will take pics of all the girls and re-band them next time i go over there so i can keep track of which is what. It doesn’t really matter, because im not getting rid of anyone, I was mostly curious. I know they are both mixes and are essentially mixed from the same breeds and look like anything but i wasn’t sure if one variant can be differentiated from the other.

Olive Eggers are just EE's that have a parent from a darker egg. At this point, there really isn't a reliable way to tell which is which until they start laying. Then you can - hopefully - match a specific egg to a specific hen. It'll be a treasure hunt!

If they are from Cackle, then any with Muffs or Beards should be Easter Eggers.
If any have barring on them then they might be Olive Eggers.

That’s what i thought. Its just that I am terrible at figuring out who is laying what lol. I mean, i “think” i know but just when i think ive got it all figured out, i find a different egg and have no idea where it came from or if its a variation of the norm from the same hen(s).


I’m going to have to figure out how to set up a “coopcam” to catch those ladies in action.

Several have muffs, haven’t seen any beards though.
Next time i am out there, i can band them and post pics with reference to band colors/numbers, that way we can all be talking about the same birds.
