My EE is 15 weeks. And I just noticed today she has iridescent earlobes. They are mostly covered by her muffs so I never noticed before. Is that normal? I googled a bit and everything that came up was about silkie roosters. Is it any indication of gender? I was thinking it’s probably just a biproduct if her mixed breeding but thought id ask the experts :) I added a couple photos

It's random and have also only seen it in Silkies.

But that's a pullet... according to comb size and color for stated age. ;)

Also no pointy saddle feathers that should be starting to show by now..

I just love the dark colored beard, distinguished from the other plumage. :love
Right?! I just love her little beard
