I have a pro full frame Nikon - perks of the job of a professional photographer :)
 
I love my EE's they lay beautiful eggs are gentle birds and lay great. there is nothing bad about them. Not all EE's are mixed breed birds. An EE can also be an ameracana tha doesnt meet the standard of perfection. EE's have standards also so it isnt just any mixed breed bird. They have to have that blue egg laying gene in them and root from ameracana or auracana. Do some searches there are lots of threads on here about the 2 and we have lots of breeders of both birds who can give expert advice about the 2.
