Easter eggers or something else?

Interesting! I’ve seen a few pics on BYC of white EE (no beard/muffs). Interesting she lays green, as Dominique lay brown (I think). But, that’s where green comes from I guess - a blue egg with brown “paint”. I think olive eggs require the dark brown that comes from Marans.
Yes I have an ameraucana x Maran mix and they are olive, usually. In the right light or on the right day, some of the eggs From the white hen have a more green hue compare to my Ameraucana and EE egg, but tbh most days they are all exactly the same color. I know the roo is from a brown egg because 1) he hatched from one and 2) only one of his offspring came from a Brahma, and that hen lays brown eggs. His other three chicks were all from EEs or the Ameraucana. He’s brown is definitely heavily diluted. I don’t even feel my olive egger is that “olive” colored. It’s usually just green or slightly darker. I’m anxious to breed the olive egger to my Maran rooster for a better olive egg. Hopefully.

This gal lays green eggs and is a mix from a dominque rooster mutt and an EE. By all intents and purposes she’s an EE, but she doesn’t have a single indicator that she would be an EE. Pink feet, cushion comb, no beard or muffs. Her sister looks just like her but did inherit the pea comb.
That gives me hope! Just hoping i get something other than brown

Ameraucana is not the only blue egg laying chicken. The muffs and leg color you were looking for are not there because those are Ameraucana features. These EE are crosses of Cream Crested Leg bar another blue egg layer which also happens to have a crest.

That makes sense!!! I knew they could be any mix of brown and blue genes but i didnt know what breeds would would give them these features. Thank you

I have two EE hens. One has no indicators either. She have yellow legs, no poofs, and a single comb. My other hen has the poofy hair doo and single comb. Both lay bright blue eyes.
