I think I see the tiniest of crests, at least on the first, lighter bird.
I think they are non-first generation CCLB mixes.

Do you have pictures? My 3 EEs are towards the bottoms of the pecking order at my house. They are pretty submissive to the rest of the girls and don’t give them a lot of trouble. All mine are varying standard size breeds that grew up together, but I would count them as a breed that’s good to integrate.

A few of these pictures look like my Pearl Star Leghorn. Not a true Leghorn but a mix of sorts. From Townline Hatchery. My girl - Princess Peep is definitely the lead hen with my EEs second in command. She is not at all aggressive though and leaves my more docile Maran and Plymouth Blue alone.

I started looking up pics and I think you're right! Seems that the hatchery may have mixed them up. Here's a screenshot of a pic I found. Apparently they can be red.
