Well at least they're cute,
The yellow one even looks a bit partridge on its wings, we love that

Most pullets start laying between 4 and 7 months, but some Easter Eggers wait as long as 8-9 months before they start laying.

ok that is geeat thank you, do you know how long it takes for a silver laced wyandotte and the 2 new hampshire reds and the 2 golden comets I have to start laying as well? Also do you know if I can tell what colored eggs my easter eggers will lay? Thanks

EE are mixes and not a breed.  usually will lay a blue, green, pink or brown eggs.  Ameraucanas are an APA approved breed and must meet certain standards to be an Ameraucana.  Only certain colors and types are acceptable to meet the standards.  EE come in all colors.  EE can also be Ameraucanas that don't meet the standards, like the color is off are they don't have a beard and muffs.  Two pure Ameraucanas that meet the SOP breed together that produce the wrong coloring would then be an EE.

It is clear as mud right?  Check out this page http://www.ameraucana.org/index.html and if your bird is not pictured you have an EE. If you think your bird is there go look at the SOP for that color and make sure.  If still in doubt post a pic and ask.....

One more thing EE are usually multi colored not solid, but not always

here is the EE thread with lots of pics

here is the Ameraucana thread with more pics of EE /img/smilies/lau.gif and Ameraucana they will tell you which is which.

When in doubt they are EEs.  Lots of people have both, one for variety and one for breeding, both because they are pretty and lay pretty eggs.
I have a white one with greenish grey legs and has white feathers and really full cheeks as the feathers stick straight out. Cute as anything. I got her as a buff orpington and I was told she was an easter egger. She looks like the white one on the link you posted. Could she really be an Ameracauna? She was in the bin that said Ameracauna chicks but she was in with the 4 I was told were Ameracauna but now I ve been told they are EE. I hope this makes sense. I am really confused

My guess is that they will all start laying between 5 and 7 months. (It depends on the hen).

thank You it has been years since my last fresh egg was collected from my own hens and I can not wait for all those colors. I have only had brown eggs from my hens in the past, never colored like blues and greens. These chicks were hatched between march 15 and march 26, 2015. I have givin them a hatch date as april 1 for my records as the tractor supply stores I got them from were not sure of the real hatch dates or even the days thet arrived as they had so many together and all different sizes and breeds. They are lucky none of them got sick. Thank you so much I can not wait.
