I know of someone on here that is selling Coronation Split Sussex chicks on their website. But it's like $350 for a quad of chicks. However, at least you wouldn't have to bid on them! Want the site? If you do, e-mail me and I'll give it to you.

I e-mailed you about this too, but...your eggs are hatching!!! I have at least 3 pips, if not more, and one of the Marans eggs is rocking like mad! I can't wait for them to hatch! I just put them in lockdown yesterday! They weren't due to hatch til the 9th!

I e-mailed some pics to you. Your eggs are hatching like mad! We're up over 20 chicks now. Both of the Lakenvelder eggs that made it into lockdown hatched, and nearly all of the Speckled Sussex and SS/Welsummer mixes are out. One chick hatched an amazing yellow color. Don't know what chick that is! It looks like only one of your Bantams have hatched so far. I think a Marans is finally out, but the windows are full of condensation so it's hard to tell for sure. I had 39 eggs in lockdown. Wouldn't it be amazing if they all hatched? 35 of the 36 you sent made it into lockdown, and all 4 of the eggs I added, including the 2 big purple ones from my Welsummer mixed hens and Silver Cuckoo Marans rooster. I have a pip in one of the purple eggs, so I can't wait to see what kind of baby my Mystery produces. He's such a handsome guy! I'll give you the final total in another day or so and let you know how many finally hatched out. It's so exciting!

Everyone I've shipped 30-36 eggs on have had at LEAST 25 hatched out!!!

It's been wicked hard trying to do an accurate head count, but I do believe that I got 27 out of the 35 that made it into lockdown to hatch.

Only 4 of my Marans hatched though. I was hoping and praying that they all would since they all made it into lockdown. I had several pip and then die, and a few didn't even pip. But overall I was VERY satisfied. I got some of the teeniest, tiniest bantams that hatched out of your eggs! One chick did die overnight, a Sussex, but the rest seem to be doing good. I just pulled the last 4 from the bator about an hour ago. A little bitty yellow feather footed Bantam, a Speckled Sussex, and 2 Marans. They are so cute! Those little Sussex are real characters. What pen did you have your Buff Orpington hens in? Cause I have a beautiful deep honey colored chick with no markings, so I don't think it's Sussex or Wellie crossed, but I do think it has a BO mother as it is a standard sized chick. It's very pretty. I'll be doing a head count in a little while, as I clean out the brooder and let you know for sure how many I have. Now I'll just have to get more Marans...

I was keeping count accurately after all. 27 did hatch, and I only have lost one so far. Pretty darn good hatch rate if you ask me! I'll be back for more eggs, but first I need to sell some of the egg and chicks I already have!
