Eastern Panhandle WV (MD, VA, PA) Chickenstock -July10th Gower's Feed

Im also bringing "ugly boxes" They are nesting boxes made of all recycled/reclaimed materials. They may not be pretty but, they are effective... and cheap! like $10-$30

Here are some of the rosecomb males Im bringing

I'll get pics of the girls later. I should have at least one hen for each boy. If someone is serious about the wheatens, I will bring a pair of those. They will be $100 for the pair. They are super rare and super nice ... and cost me three shipments of eggs and a box of live birds to get a half a dozen to choose from

They lay a small, cream colored egg and the roos are just incredible in person. ... the most vibrant colored birds I've seen short of peafowl or exotic... some gamebirds have this bright coloring.

To the folks that expressed an interest in my chicken carrier, I am currently working on a smaller version, approx. 12 x 17 x 11 that will not have a partition. It will only have one top door and one release gate. It may work out better for those who have the smaller birds.
I have other chicken related items that I will bring too. Wow! ChickenStock is only a week away. Can't wait.

I Had Some Eggs That Did Not Hatch. I Just Sold My Hen Friday. Peachick Has Some & She Is Bringing Some. Sorry About The Caps. Using Phone And Hubby,s Driving So I Had To Use Big Letters To See.

I am thinking about coming not sure yet. I just drove to MA on chicken buisness! It would be amazing to meet everyone. Maybe I will bring my birds just to educate people about faverolles other then salmon. I don't have anything to sell and probably won't for a while. Maybe I can get some materials from Faverolles fanciers or something? I will have to think about it. I loved putting faces to names on my last trip

Hey Henry, we'd love to have you

Ok everyone, please keep in mind that we don't have as much space at Gower's as we've had at TSC. We will be setting up inside the fenced in area while leaving a few spots close to the loading dock available for everyday customers. This means we need to downsize as much as possible. Big horsetrailers and even most vehicles would do best parked out front in the grassy area by the road. Pull in, drop off, set up and park the car out front. Set up in the grassy area opposite the store and work our way to the left and right. If you have access to a canopy, I would bring it as we're gonna need to keep the birds as comfortable as possible in the heat.

Be sure to bring:

water for you and for the birds
boxes with ventelation holes to give customers to take birds home in

Well, Im gearing up and wrapping up a few coops.. 1 for Soaring Chicks and a couple to sell. Im also cutting windows out of cardboard boxes and duct taping chicken wire to the inside. I can keep my quail quads and small pairs together this way. They can be viewed easily and I can just send them down the road in them. Im having lots of fun imagining what Im going to do with all this space I hope to be left with after ChickenStock... then, I look in a brooder and remember..
