Eastern Panhandle WV (MD, VA, PA) Chickenstock -July10th Gower's Feed

Hi all,

I had talked to Msbear a few weeks ago about possibly coming out, but I don't think I'm going to come and set up. It's just too hot for my rabbits, and I don't think I can keep it cool enough in a hot parking lot. I'm scrambling this week to keep everyone from baking as it is.

I am looking for a couple of roosters if anyone has quality Dominiques or Barred Rocks.

I could bring stuff early for folks on here if you have any interest. I raise mostly heritage livestock.

Chickens: I have some two month old Delawares that are currently in a hoophouse on pasture, along with about 75 mixed hybrids of marans/rocks/doms destined for the freezer. .

Eggs: I have Welsumers and Black and Blue Copper Marans (both Whitmore lines) I could gather and bring if you were into hatching. I was going to do a hatch for this show, but saw that others were going to bring both Wels and Marans, so decided against it.

Muscovy ducks: Some larger 6 week old ducklings, and some a few weeks younger. Not old enough for me to tell males/females yet.

Rabbits: I raise Silver Fox and Americans. Both are on the albc critically endangered list with Americans being the most threatened. I raise black SF, and white, black, and blue AMs.

Just as an FYI for later, I raise Delaware, Barred Rock, Dominique, Welsumer, and Black and Blue Copper Marans. I have the capacity to hatch and brood both small and large batches if anyone were interested in the future. Chicks are incubator hatched, while the Muscovy are usually momma hatched and raised. I've not had much luck trying to incubate the ducks. I also raise Dexter cattle, Large Black Hogs, and honeybees if your "backyard" can hold them.

I'm in Martinsburg, WV.

Just PM me if you have Doms or BR roos, or if you’d like me to bring something to the show on Saturday.

thanks,
tom

They would be black faverolles male over black faverolles hen and salmon faverolles hen. I would love one of those nest boxes also. I also just want to put faces to names. How recently to I need to have been tested?

Henry

Hi Henry,

I plan on being at the Chickenstock and look forward to meeting you. I would be interested in a few Faverolle eggs!!

hahaahhaah but, Im really not worried about the thunderstorms. They are unpredictable and would pass quickly.. IF it happened. Couldn't be as bad as that first FAll stock

She says they are "from nice stock out of NY"

I'm bringing this little roo, (not sure what kind he is), that's breaking out of my new chicken carrier. I finally finished the smaller version of my fancy poultry carrier, and I will be bringing it to the show. I hope it does cool off by Saturday.
