Linda will be testing birds for free for us in the morning. She has no help. The owner of the birds being tested can handle their own birds but, we need someone who can document testing results. This is not going to be a difficult job. The columns will already be set up .. just jot down what she tells you. We need this help from app. 7am- app. 9am. Who's down?

It could be someone's 14 yr. old daughter? maybe we can take up a collection and giver $20?

Hmmm I can see if my mom would do it! Or my friend Ashley

She's coming along to chickenstock with me Erin. Or I could do it and have my mom watch the birds I'm selling.

I plan to be there tomorrow, not bringing birds but interested in buying blue/dark brown egg layers (Amereaucanas, Marans, "Easter Eggers"). I have recently started with Salmon Faverolles (I am very interested in learning about the other colors, I just wanted a salmon rooster) and made an aborted start with Barnevelders. Anyone have Barnevelders? -P

Hannah, that would be awesome if one of you could help Linda. Be there by 7. I'll chip in $5 and I will do a walk-thru and collect some money for you.

Kat, can't wait to see you and everyone tomorrow... Im so excited! I have a feeling this one is gonna be the biggest yet. So many new local breeders will be selling and I've had a ton of emails from folks coming up to buy.. .from the middle of nowhere WV, from PA and northern VA and all parts of MD. Exciting stuff. We just got back from picking out our spot and setting up the canopy and dropping off two coops. I have another coop and all the chickens to bring tomorrow.

Please, everyone, pull in and set up and move your vehicle to the front grassy area by the road so we can make room for everyone. I think Im going to post a parking sign with arrow out there in the morning for the buyers to park there as well as there just isn't enough room. If you MUST have your vehicle with you, please pull it all the way up to the fence and set up behind it.

Don't forget your water people! It's not gonna be as hot as it's been but, we'll still need it and so will your birds. If you don't have a canopy, maybe bring some towels to lay over the crates to protect them from the sun.

Im heading out to the pens to do some last minute culling today. I've GOT to get this 100 chicken number down to like 30!

I just got back from Gowers, saw MsBears coop...soo cute. I was glad to see Gower's tidied up a bit. The employees are expecting to be swamped!
I'm coming to shop and hope to have time to visit and put faces w/names & avatars.

As a bonus...Southern States just up the street is having a Crepe Myrtle Festival tomorrow w/free hotdogs from 10-2. Anyone who spends too much on birds can get a free lunch! LOL
