I am planning on selling her though.
I also have a lovely crop of silkies that are 1/2 partridge, 1/2 buff, but seem to be growing out with an AMAZING amount of gold and a minimal amount of partridge. My buff boy has strong genes

I'm ready to head to 2 lines: buff silkies & showgirls, and white silkies & showgirls. Got a 'pearl' pullet that will make some gorgeous whites when she gets around to laying....

I'll have very few d'Uccles to sell in Newport because of all the folks going to the Dalton show that want them later this month.

Hey Lori....am really enjoying my D''Uccles from you. My little Lav. roo has finally taken a shine to them.

I think mine from you are going to be a pair. I won't be able to make it to the Newport show,, just had knee replacement Tuesday. But I may see if a friend of mine may go and pick up another pullet for me. You have any lav. pullets for sale??

There were a few calls there last spring. It's not a really big show. Great to get your feet wet with, though.

It'll be a big show by the time we're done with it! LOL. I am bringing 2 or 3 NH cockerels, 4 NH pullets.....plus 2 blue mottled bantam cochins, plus a few black mottled bantam cochin pullets/hens. Might be another New Hamp person bringing some to compete against me

There weren't enough LF there last time, so we are going to fix that all by ourselves!

BTW, that speckled sussex girl is RIDICULOUS. You can lean down and pick her right up. She is so full of herself these days, she cracks me up. Always up to no good! She was the only bird out in the middle of the open part of the yard the other day, just standing around looking at the sky. I thought, girl you are crazy you are about to be hawk bait! She just doesn't have a care in the world! LOL

My husband laughed when I read that to him. I have been accused on occasion of being in la la land. Rubbed off on my kids, too. First time I heard of it affecting my birds, though.

I'm glad you are showing that many LF. I'd love to see that NH in real life. He looks gorgeous.

He is really pretty !!

Yea, you can see that look in his eye. He's thinking "I cant wait for those spurs to come in" LOL She is going to have her hands full with that one.

This show is always fun. Does anyone have an extra buff or white silkie roo? I have found myself in need of one each. Also looking for a Dark cornish roo and a white call drake, This has to be the only time i have found myself with all hens and not enough roosters lol.

I was hoping to make the show. I now know I will not. Ive tried to swap work days with everyone. None will change. I want toask a favor of anyone thats going to the show. If you see some good birds in any of the following breeds, can you get me their name and number? Japs any color-especially black tailed buff, mottled, barred, and other unusual colors. Partridge rock bantams, partridge and splash cochins. Or mandarin ducks.
I do have the day off for the Winston-salem show. Anyone going there? Its the saturday after Thanksgiving.
Thanks
Danny

He's actually quite sweet. I didn't take those pix, they are from a couple months ago, taken by Kathy at her place back when she was asking if I wanted him. His name is Tyson, because he was in the processing pen and managed to escape the day they were all being taken to the processor, and they didnt have time to catch him. Once it was obvious I only had one decent roo in my own batch, she offered him to me. He has grown out beautifully though, she has the best stock ever

I got two boys from her at Crossroads. The other one is a bit raggedy...little younger, late bloomer, but has great "bones". And man oh man, he WHOOPED poor ol Tyson. I have to keep them separate so he won't damage Mr Show Quality Tyson before next weekend.

He is in the back here, and Mr Cranky Pants up front

You should hear them both calling to the hens every morning. They just cluck and cluck away. Of course, neither has any hens..........

Do you plan on bringing any NH hens to the show in Newport? If so, I may be interested. I have a cockerel and a pullet that I hatched this spring from the same lines. I would like to focus on the NHs and the SLWs that I have. Thanks, Charles.

Nella, tried to send you a PM, but keep getting an error message so here it is:

Do you know if you have to have a candler's license or anything to sell eggs off your own property in TN? Just checking. I was erroneously thinking I didn't have to have anything to sell eggs that way in GA, but GA is STUPID about every blessed thing and I found out that they are supposed to be candled by a licensed candler just to sell them off my own blame property. That is asinine, if you ask me, but hey, Atlanta (or Hell-anta, as a friend calls it) ruins the whole state.
