I know how frustrating that is....I tried to advertise my Cremello stallion wording it "standing at stud" and the same thing happens to me. Now this is what I do not understand. A may can put a pic of his privates on there looking for a woman but I can't put an ad in with the word "stud" in it?? I have seen other ads with that wording and they did not disappear...

Are those suppose to be BLRW? They do not look like it too me. But that could be the picture. Too me they look wheaten not red. There blue is really diluted too almost white. I will have to check my sorces for what that color remids me of.

there are three varieties of BLRW, black, blue, and splash. I have the splash ones... go to foleyswaterfowl.com and look at what he has since he raises all three, they are BLRW's, just a different variety of what you're used to seeing

Thanks all for the support!

I couldn't tell you all earlier... but someone posted that they flag "because our (not mine alone) prices are rediculous". So I replied, "if you can build the same thing, the same way, and want to sell it cheaper, go ahead then"

I realize not everyone will shell out $500 for a coop, but alot of people would for a sturdy built "back yard friendly" coop. It's not up to any one person to decide what is a good deal and what itsn't... and "flagging" is not there as a vote. It is reserved for people breaking rules and laws.

It is all very immature. My poor unemployed mother has $360 in this coop and she doesnt' own one chicken. I feel bad for her and anyone else who builds or tries to sell anything on CL.

I will try the TN trader... but as for newspapers... I don't want to pay for ads. That comes out of my pocket and I'm not getting one dollar for all this work. It's all for my mother who is really selling the coop.

As for NE TN being too far... not really. My mother said she would go as far as Cookeville to deliver.... so long as it is one of my father's days off. That is a two hour drive one way from her place. Of course, she would ask for $50 delivery fee for it.

I'm just going to keep reposting and try to stay calm. My temper flew today. ESPECIALLY when people started in on the "Tates" who are flagging everyone. Don't bring my name into it for one, and don't accuse me of stuff I didn't do, for two. Boy that made me GRRRRRR

Edited to fix typo

@tnchicken nut. was she flagged for putting it in the selling area, or did she put it in the just trying to get rid of areas? theyve made special areas nowm just to sell things, as cl is supposed to be online flea market, rummage sale, and give away area, cheapo kinda resourse (not that im ssaying the coop might not be worth it to anyone, especially those uninclined to build a decent looking one on own). yes it is frustratig when porn doesnt get flagged and or breeders also in areas, and just people trying to rehome/recycle something someone else might just want. ive never had an ad flagged, but once was changed by someone who made it opposite an obscene... though they said i get alot for services, so dont know whether to be upset or partially flattered. hahaha
so watch out posting any pics that have you or kids in at all, as they can be taken, photo shopped and used however, and nothing you can do, as once you agree to using services, they own anything you post.

You are right it should not have been flag for that reason. It was properly posted in farm section and price was not out of this world. Some people are just too cheap.

It was all done right. Just people thinking that a good hobby is messing with other. I didn't put the price on there on the more recent ones and wrote to "[email protected]" and it hasn't been flagged since.

Cybercat is right. People are far too cheap. It's why I don't do yardsales anymore. You put a dollar on something that works and is current in trends and was $50 and they try to tell you $1 is too much. Anything less than a buck and I'm taking it to the dump and/or charity. Don't know why people think THEIR time is worth more than yours.

I'm ranting again but it's the same thing with chickens... especially slaughtering them. People want to pay you $2 per bird. What about set up? What about my Saturday being taken up killing your birds for a whopping $6 at the end of it all? Nope. Sorry. Joel Salatin said it best (and I may be misquoting but the jist is there) "A farmer shouldn't feel bad for charging for his/her time. Time is valuable to someone who has fields to plow and eggs to collect"

end rant. lol.

Thanks! I'll go check them out now. I'm always selling birds, but recently am selling my scooter and this coop (and possibly future coops) for my mother... so this will come in handy.

My incubator is in and all set up. Unfortunaly I can not get to lowes or walmart to get hydrometer as I have a flat. Hubby will be home later today so I will get it then. I do have 2 themo in it.
