5 days old! The last 2 photos are of the same one. Only 3 in the litter.
Ahhh. A couple more days and they will actually be cute, LOL Much better though that day one

Okay, we are starting to resemble bunnies now. Where did the nest come from? It looks like hair. And how many does a rabbit usually have in a litter. Is 3 normal?
I made the box, and put the shavings in 28 days after I bred the doe, she pulled her fur to make the nest and had the babies (covered them with the fur). 3 is small for mini lops but not out of the norm, but they can have up to 10.. 6 being the best #, not too many to feed them all but not too few to have some variety.. I will have VERY FAT healthy babies, they have no competition when it comes to when she feeds them, which is only once a day.

@ little chicklet

I can come down and get those cows, but I would have to shoot them and field dress them on the spot if you guys have no way to contain them. If alive...I can run them up to my father in laws and worm them and put them on grain a couple of weeks before processing.

@ stang
The going rate used to be about .50 cents per pound to process, but it might be a little cheaper around east,tn than what I am used to seeing.

Rodney, if that is true just give me a ring! I'm not squeamish and would be willing to learn from you (and help) for some meat

Steven would probably go to because he wants to field dress a deer instead of going to get it processed but I was the one who was pushing for a processor because we have no idea what we're doing.

crank it up on Thursday pm or Friday am. Yes 40% is too low when they start pipping. The other eggs are far enough along they should easily be able to handle the higher humidity. I always "dry incubated" until lock down but have since learned through error that they really need that humidity towards the end. I think I may have been too dry during the process on some occasions. I decided with the shipped eggs I got last week to try and run about 50-60% and then 75% or better at lock down.
Thanks, I will do that. I was afraid that the humidity would be to high and cause the others not to hatch. I hate to stagger hatch, but I didn't want to let the other shipped eggs set for a long time. BTW can you give us another clue as to what your shipped eggs are? I don't think you have told us yet...

Ok, I am doing a staggered hatch and need some advice

. I have 4 eggs that will go on lock down on Wednesday. I have another 18 that will go on lockdown 3 days after that. What should I do about the humidity? I am afraid to increase it to much. If I keep it at the 40% it's been running will it be to dry for them to get out? These were some very good show stock of Serama eggs, and I don't want to mess this up at the end. I got 22 of 35 eggs this far and that's pretty good for shipped eggs. Even better for Serama becasue they are hard to hatch.
I would have a second "lock down only" incubator, personally. I don't know what others would/have done... but that is how I do it.
