also watch out for the buffalo trail sale in mo town, as said something about someone stealing, then was accused by owners, as apparently all family and either "they would never steal", or more likely they are all crooks like said by alot, but some used to be so helpful.. so assumed they were just rumors. so just dont let slip the actual value of an animal as then hardly ever do animals go missing once already sold.

Did everyone make it threw storm OK. We lost power and I am incubating eggs. It was out for an hour so hope fully it will be OK. Temps went down to 88. Hatch for me is this Saturday to.

Sounded like our roof was going to blow off, but it went thru rather quickly and cooled things off wonderfully!

Didn't seem bad here.

Anyone know any Lionhead breeders? Trying to find a few good does and bucks. Double maned and pedigreed preferred. Would be willing to forego the pedigree if they were quality bunnies anyways

Might not be what you are looking for, but i saw some of the sweetest, prettiest lionheads today at Jonesboro flea market. Gentleman had 2, one was a steel grey and the other was a buff color. Sweet as can be, had them in a small crate low sides, they never once tried to get out but were friendly and so calm. I wanted lionheads for my kids, but my son fell in love with 2 little white "mutts" with siamese like points. they are great bunnies and sweet as well. Other than that, i'm not real sure. There is a family not far from me >Mosheim< who breed bunnies, although i'm not sure what types. Id be more than willing in my travels to stop and get the number for you if you'd like.

OK...In view of our weather so far this spring...here is my "Incubating EM Kit". 2 Flashlights (never know when one may peter out on ya at the worst to times) 2 large towels per incubator, 1 comforter or heavy quilt, rubber bands and plastic tubing. When our power goes out I check the readings and stick a tube in the smaller vent hole fold them down and put rubber band on the end. Reason being..while they are covered humidity can begin to go up. If it does all you have to do is remove rubber bands and let some out until where you need it. Cover with towels and covers. They will stay warm and toasty for a couple hours at least. If your power is off over 2-3 hours...push comes to shove and you can get them in...your hot water heater holds heat for quite a while. But if their temp drops down below 80 you still have a good chance of they still hatching. One morning I had a broody go off her nest when the first chick hatched. I figured she would get back on after stretching her legs. The next morning I went inside and she was not on the nest and the eggs very cold. It had gotten down below 60 the night before. I grabbed them up stuck them in the incubator and they hatched 2 days later. It may be a fluke..but..best not to give up.

For chicks...you can do use some of the same things. Wrap as much of the container as you can with towels and covers..but leave a corner a bit open for fresh air. If your electric is off for a long time and you have large flashlights? They can give off quite a bit of heat..drains the battery but..they can be replaced. If you have to...cuddle with them!
So..this may give some of you a guideline to go by...we are suppose to have a lot of storms this season..I hope they are wrong but if not...we can be ready!
