Aww... I hate losing bunnies

I had to have my DH take care of a mini lop the other day... She had stopped eating and drinking for a week, and instead of letting her die from starvation I finally had to let go... I had tried to give her stuff for a possible blockage and it didn't work...

did they get uncovered? It was unusually warm last night... I hate that you had to see dead baby bunnies!

I expect they were born dead or the doe killed them. There were 3 peanuts and 1 normal dead. She had 3 live normal kits she did not bother......last litter she has 3 dead too. This will be her last litter. She is an older doe and appears to have hit the end of her productive breeding life....

I'd have trouble culling one of my ducks. I could do it if necessary, but I'd have no idea where to go from there. About the closest I've come to chicken processing was retrieving the headless chickens after my neighbor would do the deed. I never stuck around for the plucking or cleaning.

I'd be willing to help someone out in order to learn so that come time when I process a bird or two I'd know what to expect.

I don't see my self ever processing Chickens. I just can bring my self to do it. Even though I do have a beautiful Orpington buff roo. That hid under our ceder tree and when I walked by. He came out a fighting. It was all I could do to get him off me. He gave my quite the blood blister on my right knee. (threw my jeans) He grabbed on and wouldn't let go. I've been trying to break him from it. When I see him puff up and side step towards me. I grab him and carry him around with me lol. But his time he ambushed me. I really wanted to ring his neck. But when it comes down to it. I just can't! I have named all my chickens but 2. Because once they are old enough to lay (Brown leghorns) I hope to trade them. If I don't name them I won't get attached.
