Easy portable fence panels

i have done things simmiliar to this but all i had were 2x4's and my wouldn't rip them into 2x2's and im only 14 and wasn't aloud to use his circular saw and i dont have one. so they turned out heavy. now im going to use elecric conduit and make 10x5 foot panels

we have done this for inside our coop last year i am tring to talk dh into doing something like this as a run, i tryed to download pictures but will not let me, it is in my profile picture if you click on it you can see part of it.

Looks great. I am going to build a portable chicken run using PVC 3/4 thick wall pipings and use cloth wire all around with a door on top.

I have made similar panels for a portable run but they are 4' tall x 8' long and I have two panels that are 4' tall by 10' long because I had some 10' long 2x4s laying around... One of them has an entry gate built into it also.
I used the 2" x 4" field fencing for the panels and a frame with a chicken wire top that is screwed down. They are locked in the coop at night so that is for daytime predator protection (chicken hawks and other threats from above). My 11 hens have an 8' x 18' covered run, half of it is covered with greenhouse panels to keep it dry. The fence allows for easy placement/support of 2x4s for roosts, too. I used eye bolts and carriage bolts and nuts to join the panels.

This is a design we have used to make portable pens. You can make as many panels as you wish and they can be set up freestanding or against a coop. They are lightweight and easy to set up. I use wire plant stakes for the hinges at the corners. If you make them much taller than 36" high, you will have trouble reaching over to replace feed and water. We put bird netting over the top and hook it over the corner stakes. To enter the pen, slip out one of the corner stakes and the panel will open like a door.

I want to make some that are 4' long so I can use them inside the barn as end pieces to the run. The panels shown are 8' long by 36" high. We have used chicken wire, vinyl coated wire, hardware cloth, and heavy netting. Hardware cloth is the sturdiest, but makes the panel a little heavier.

They are obviously not predator proof, but may work for indoors or putting babies out for an afternoon in the sun. Also for temporary pens for those of us who hatched more than we thought!

I one somewhere that had several panels if not all, hinged together and can be folded up to store.. I couldn't figure out how it would be transported to different places. Maybe if a couple were hinged and maybe 3' long instead of 8'....,would have to think about it. Its got to be so I could handle it anyway..

Just to make more inquiries according to my reality here in the middle of nowhere (quite rural area) : How much money would you be spending by fencing a 15' x 20' area (feet). The thing about my question is that I'm intending to make MOVABLE FENCES which I would be rotating now and then with the purpose of letting the used area (land) "rest" for a while and moving our 25 chickens on to another area. By doing so, I will be protecting our slanted piece of land from erosion..Do you know what I mean? We live some way out in the boonies up in the mountains.. Thanks for your answer, in advance.

Premiere1 portable fencing.....can get it electrified if necessary.

Are the hinges made from eye hooks? And when you say plant stakes do you mean those metal green ones that you pound in the ground?
