Easy suggestions to insulate coop

Probably not. My coop's in full sun. Shade is a good thing for hot. If you don't want to insulate now, maybe you could add it later if needed? Maybe build your roof in such a way that you could do that?
My whole coop is designed to be modified if needed. Not the roof tho - since it's attached with roofing screws, right through the insulation panel, into the 2x4's. But I'm sure you could get creative.
Or just insulate now while it's easy

Spent the last 4 days working on the run and coop! Hurrah!!!
And have actually moved the 12 week old chicks outside!
We still have some work to do on the coop... mainly covering any gaps in the exterior and finding solutions to gaps letting cold air in: like on the corner of the nesting box between the lid and the wall...
And the coop is certainly not going to win any prizes for beauty... but it was made, by a noob (myself), with mainly upcycled materials. For that, I am proud.

Only have the plywood roof up, need my husbands help putting up the plastic roofing. We’re even going to put in a sky light to allow more light and hopefully heat in!
We wrapped the run in plastic sheeting to help hold some heat in, but it gets pulled off very easily with the wind at times.
Unfortunately both the run and coop are in a mostly shaded area which is perfect for every other season because it’s mainly summer weather which sticks around the longest it seems.

I got some adorable stencils to “perk up”the neon purple upcycled pile of wooden pallets.
I learned a lot on this first build. Mainly, using recycled material is a lot more time consuming. We may have saved a few hundred dollars by not building from a kit or just buying the materials ourselves... but man did it take a long time to complete for a novice like me.
I will not make those same mistakes again.. so I suppose that is worth a lot.
But getting to walk outside in the morning and let the chicks out and feeding them while I drink my tea is really a dream come true.
I have a feeling chickens were the gateway to a more sustainable way of life, as now I want more and goats, an orchard, pigs...

Wow...that's BRIGHT! Congratulations on tackling this project yourself. I built mine too with all kinds of goofy tools and then I'd get a new one now and then if I thought I could use it. I've learned how to use so many tools I never would have giving a second thought to. Nor would I have ever imagined that I could build anyting. But I'm proud of myself too and I'm glad you are. It's a big deal for us girls.

I’m beyond impressed.
My husband did help a bit like power screwing and helping me put the roof on.
My girls love it, it all works great, and my kids can finally walk in and play with their pets and feed them. We’re very happy to have it all completed finally!

I did! I started with my mom's old jigsaw, a little drill and a battery powered circular saw.
I found these great Spax deck screws that are self-drilling and they were a life saver!! I went to HD to get more one time and the guy that works there said I should buy this other brand that's cheaper. they didn't work at all! I don't have the strength that guys do and I had to push really hard and they split the wood. the only screws that worked for me where the spax. There's my little pile
