One of my ducks just eaten. Very frustrating. Locked up safe at night but eaten in the middle of the day. My LSGD is now out but too late.

Most likely a bobcat. Don't believe they are nocturnal.

I just looked it up and it said that bob cats are nocturnal so the chances of a bobcat eating your duck is slim.

Most likely a bobcat. Don't believe they are nocturnal.

Maybe a fox. There quick and quiet. There sometimes around during the day.

I have seen the bobcat stalking my ducks. Around noon every seven days. The info that they are nocturnal is wrong. I almost got my hands on one, at least it released the duck when I reached it. Could have been a coyote. By the way, don't chase a bobcat barehanded.

I’ll take your word for it and it sounds like you need to take care of that bobcat.

I have not seen a red Fox here. I saw a grey one but they are fruit eating. Lots of bobcat and coyote. Plus tons of racoon which will try for the young ducks but I have them protected at night. Annoying that the duck got eaten in the middle of the day. That's usually when I lose them as they are safe at night.
