I need some ideas on other ways to prepare and eat our quail eggs. I pickle and devil and even fried but there has to be another way!

i see you have a couple dogs...if you are getting swamped with eggs all you have to do is set the egg basket down on the ground/floor somewhere and forget you did....next thing you know...Voila! NO more eggs in the basket....LOL...i was tossing extra eggs to my dogs for a while there then stopped. i det my egg basket down and when i came back to pick it up it was empty and the dogs were sitting there waiting for more......ooooooops!

I use them in place of chicken eggs in anything. It takes about 5 quail eggs to equal 1 large chicken egg. I like to weight them - 1 large chicken egg is 2 oz. I weigh out an equal weight of quail eggs. But it pretty much always works out to a 5:1 ratio.

Quail eggs make a lovely quiche or frittata. They cook up a bit fluffier than chicken eggs with a wonderful creamier texture. Most of those recipes call for 6 - 8 chicken eggs. So, you can use up 30 - 40 quail eggs quickly.

They also work well in baked goods - cakes, breads, etc.
