Eating Cochin Bantam meat?

I'm glad I ran across this thread. I was wondering if bantams had a use at all. Eggs? Why get a bantam when a full size lays bigger eggs? Wouldn't two bantams lay the equivalent of one large breed? Eat the same as one large breed? I just don't get the bantam thing.

Do they taste better than full sized chickens? Like a cornish hen?

I have two cochins that will likely end up in the freezer soon. Glad they are tasty.
