I think most people do not like duck eggs because they think the taste will be gamey/fishy/muddy. If your ducks eat the same feed as chickens, if you keep their water clean and fresh, let them eat a lot of greens and such then the taste is the same as a chickens.
Also, most people (like my mom) are huge texture freaks. If their food does not fall into a specific "feel" while they eat it, they dislike it. Duck eggs have much stronger protein bonds (which is what makes them the absolute best thing ever for baking btw), so the texture after cooking can be much firmer than most people are used to. The yolk is also much bigger, and some people just don't enjoy the yolky goodness. I think the yolks are much creamier than chicken egg yolks though, and my family (even my texture freak mom lol) love them.
