Will medicated chick starter affect the meat of my CX?

I have some med chick starter left from my chicks and the meat birds are getting low on food. Usually I buy 100lbs of food from the mill, however, the birds have a date with the axe next week and they will not go through 100lbs of food in 5days. Can I give them the chick starter?

I would not use medicated chick starter on birds I was going to eat next week.

just give them some cracked corn the starter could leave residue in the meat from the meds

I've always heard that two weeks without medicated food is standard. I would simply go to a store that sells pre-bagged feed and finish them up on that. You should be able to get a 50lb bag from TSC or even a feed mill.

We have never used medicated feed. Im not sure why people do use it. You are going to process the meat in 8 to 12 weeks depending on what kind of meaties you have so why medicate. We havent lost a single chick. We just feed chick starter until we process them.
