ebay eggs?

I am a newbie to incubating, I have ordered pomeranian eggs from ebay and now am wondering, when I get the eggs is that day one? How soon after I get them do they need to be put in the incubator? Should I candle them when I get them? Thanks!

first you need to unwrap and let sit pointy end down some say a day 8hrs, 12,hrs, 24hr is what i do .....you don't count until they go in the incubator...you let them sit to let the airsac settle from shipping...i use an egg container hope this helps...

ETA oh you first candle on day 7.....you wont see anything before you get them in the incubator....there is a sticky thread on incubating section on BYC leads you through the process

Shipped eggs should sit for 24 hours to let them settle. When you set your eggs for hatching you count day one after 24 hours in the bator. ie if you set them today, you actually have them at day one being tomorrows date.
