Anyone used the ecoglow 20 for their chicks? I love it, but I’m wondering how to best gauge when to move the heater up to the next setting. My chicks are almost a week old and they’re doing great, but the company doesn’t offer much advice on when to move the heater up(further away). I know they will stay out of the heater if they are too warm, but I would rather they didn’t have to be in that situation, since I’m not around to watch them all the time. Thanks for any advice!

I am using one, in addition to the Momma Heating Pad, which the chicks prefer. My solution for my almost 2-week old chicks is to use deep bedding that they rearrange. When they have excavated to near the bottom of the brooder, I raise it up. In retrospect, I would have gotten the one with 4 legs that allows you to lower the back and keep the front higher.

i raised mine up only on one side yesterday. ill raise it all the way to the second setting at the end of this week! just judge it the best you can with the height of your chicks and stuff. i have a few bigger ones and a few smaller, so i figured that the taller ones would enjoy having a little more room on one side :)
