Edamame pods

We eat a lot of edamame (soy) as snacks, and we're left with the (cooked) pods. Looks like green food to me.. Would it be ok to throw the empty pods into the food processor and let the chickens have them in their daily treats?

Have at it, any vegetables is ok and dont have to bother blending them, let them eat the pods just as they are, they can.

We found some frozen organic edamame in the bottom of the freezer. We wondered if we can feed it to the chickens. Can they eat the cooked soybean, or just the pods?
