so today is day 8 for my chicken eggs that are basically my test eggs belonging to someone else.
i candled them and seen no veins and in 2 i wasnt even able to see an air pocket and in 3 i seen on one side of the egg a dark spot that took up a good quarter of the egg. i dont know what ne of this means maybe i dont have a bright enough flashlight??

Honestly, by day 8 you should atleast be able to see veins. It sounds like only one is developing. I hope all goes well, though.

What color are the eggs?

Brown eggs are generally harder to candle, and

you shouldn't see all that much in them until day 14

of incubation. Don't loose hope. And if this batch doesn't

work, don't let it get you down
