I raise a steer each year. I slaughter at 17-18 months. I have not done a goat yet. I have two freezers with beef and pork so I sell them for now.It sounds like a good plan!
You processed one of your cows/steers?
Do you process goats? In what age you process them? I would buy one of your 10 month males! They are WONDERFUL!
I rarely have time to really cook. I would gladly trade someone meat for cookingYou are SOOO LUCKY to have all this wonderful kinds of meat! I could do some marvelous meals from them !
I hatch a lot and 150 roosters shouldn't hang around long.Good luck with butchering! lol
You guys sure butcher a lot of birds! I have yet to butcher one of my birds....![]()
Good morning everyone! I hope you all remembered to fall back in the states that do it. I wish we stayed on daylight savings time.
I hate coming home to dark every day. It leaves me no time to do anything in the light. I go to work in the dark year round and that doesn't bother me, but no light ever at home does.
What a great nurturing environment you've created for that girl to grow up in.
I use them too this time of year.Excellent deep litter. Especially if it stays dry. Some of my coops are completely enclosed.
X2I hate squirrels when I am hunting. They make too much noise. One time I stopped looking when I heard leaves. I was sitting on a downed tree watching forward when I heard a loud enough crack to make me turn. I was not in a blind, but I had been still enough that that crack was a ten point buck about ten feet behind me. I looked at him as he looked at me. After starring at each other for a second I started to raise my rifle and he broke taking off like a streak sounding the alarm. I sat back down shaking my head. Stupid squirrels.
I generally see more squirrels than deer when I'm deer hunting, & vise-versa
I understand your affinity for Israel but you could always move where they have big game. Canada perhaps?You are SOOO LUCKY to have all this wonderful kinds of meat! I could do some marvelous meals from them !
Quote: Yep, needs companions!
Well, I spent fifteen minutes sitting watching and talking to my goats and the babies this morning if that counts?
@Akrnaf2
I'm jealous!

I agree. They are both abhorrent. I am voting third party for the first time in a Presidential race. I refuse to be a party to either one of them.But I KNOW WHO WILL LOSE! All OF YOU!
